PRIVACY · PLAIN ENGLISH

YOUR WORK IS PUBLIC.
YOUR PRIVATE DATA ISN'T.

Last updated July 29, 2026. This page explains what Vibe Build-Off stores, how we use it, and why.

01

Account identity

Reading public pages, joining Community Build, and submitting a project do not require an account. Replies, votes, project management, contribution tracking, and administrator access require a verified Vibe Build-Off identity. When configured, the preferred path is a one-time email link; the optional ChatGPT handoff is clearly labeled and only returns a verified email address and, when available, a display name. Vibe Build-Off does not receive or store your ChatGPT password and will never ask you to send us a ChatGPT, Google, Apple, or email password.

02

Projects and uploads

Approved project names, descriptions, links, screenshots, builder names, feedback requests, categories, tags, and tools are public. Builder email addresses stay private. Uploaded screenshots are stored in private platform-backed object storage and served through Vibe Build-Off.

03

Votes, comments, and reports

We store vote timestamps, account identity, helpful votes, comments, replies, edits, deletions, and reports. Raw IP addresses are not stored by the application. A private salted hash may be used for rate limits and fraud review.

04

First-party analytics

We record page and project views, sessions, outbound clicks, product actions, approximate country and region, device, browser, operating system, referrer, and UTM campaign values. A random browser visitor ID and tab session ID help count visits. Admin, preview, test, crawler, automation, and suspected spam traffic is stored separately and excluded from real-user totals.

05

Cookies and browser storage

Authentication uses platform-managed session controls. First-party analytics uses a random local visitor ID and a per-tab session ID. Authorized administrators can set an ignore cookie so their browser stays outside real traffic totals.

06

Safety and retention

We keep records long enough to run rounds, investigate abuse, preserve confirmed winners, maintain contest integrity, and operate the service. Removed public content may remain in private moderation records when needed for safety or dispute handling.

07

Your choices

You can edit or delete your own comments. You can report a project or comment from its public page. Builders can request corrections by replying to an administrative message about their submission. Account deletion and broader privacy requests will be handled through the verified account email.

08

Payments

Vibe Build-Off does not collect payment details at launch. Stripe architecture is reserved for future reviewed features and is not active.
